Wild Garden is dedicated to the love of wildflowers. The flowers on these pages are found in north Florida, which has an amazing diversity of wildflowers throughout the year. The site is designed to help wildflower lovers learn about some of the more common and interesting plants that we have in this area and to provide information about where and when to see these beauties.

Here I am visiting my dear friend Caroline Dean, queen of Alabama wildflowers, among her extraordinary native azaleas.

I have had a strong interest in wildflowers for the past twenty years. Taking photographs of the flowers has helped me appreciate their beauty more, and it helps me to identify them once I get home. I try to learn a little botany and photography along the way, but my primary interest is in enjoying the flowers and learning more about them. The Magnolia Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society in Tallahassee is my primary resource for my wildflower interests. We have monthly meetings given by experts followed by field trips all over our area.
