2 slices whole wheat bread
2 oz. Ziyad brand Ackawi cheese (may substitute kasseri, havarti, or smoked mozzarella)
1 tbsp Wild Garden brand Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
1 tbsp Wild Garden brand Roasted Garlic Hummus
1/4 small cucumber, thinly sliced
1 small carrot, shredded
1/2 tsp Ziyad brand Green Za’atar
1 tbsp Sultan brand Olive Oil
1Heat skillet over low heat.
2Thoroughly combine Za’atar and olive oil.
3Spread one piece of bread with roasted red pepper hummus, and one with roasted garlic hummus.
4Top one side with cheese.
5Add cucumber and carrot and cover with the other side of bread, keeping hummus inside.
6Brush Za’atar mixture on the outside of each slice of bread.
7Grill on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted (about 2-4 minutes per side). Enjoy!!
