Persian and Fried Turkish Chicken Tacos

A flavorful springtime twist on traditional tacos using marinated chicken and veggies for the ultimate taco dinner! This delicious recipe is from A Life with Peace.

Ingredients

Persian Chicken Tacos

Wild Garden Persian Marinade

4 1/2 inch Corn Tortillas

1 bunch Basil

2 limes

1-2 Pickled Red Onion

5 habeneros

1 bunch baby tomatoes

garlic sauce- make a quick garlic sauce with oil, lemon, garlic powder, fresh garlic, pepper, salt and blend until a smooth dressing like consistency

12 oz. Chicken Schnitzel

Fried Chicken Tacos

Wild Garden Turkish Marinade

4 1/2 inch Corn Tortillas

12 oz. Chicken Schnitzel

1 bunch cilantro

Garlic Sauce - make a quick garlic sauce with oil, lemon, garlic powder, fresh garlic, pepper, salt and blend until a smooth dressing like consistency

red cabbage - slice on mandolin with some lemon, oil, salt, pepper. Let sit in fridge for about 30 mins.

corn - Roast with your desired spices in oven 375 degrees for about 20-30 mins

pomegranate - Sprinkle to taste as garnish

Wild Garden Garlic Hummus mixed with Sriracha

Panko crumbs

Directions

1For both of these tacos - assemble them together, this makes it easier! I put it in the oven on a sheet pan together so I didn't make a mess on a stovetop, as well (PROTIP!) Preheat oven to 375 and marinade your chicken for about 1 hour to 1 day, this really just depends on your preference. 1/2 of chicken in Wild Garden Persian Marinade and 1/2 of Chicken in Turkish Marinade. I decided to bread the Turkish marinade one.

2For the breaded chicken, make an egg mixture of 2 beaten eggs in one bowl and fill another bowl with panko crumbs. Dip chicken in the egg mixture then in panko. Cook panko chicken with the other batch of chicken until cooked all the way through. About 30-40 mins.

3While this is cooking, get all your other ingredients together (reference above for steps and how to. )

4Now it's time to assemble! Spread on the Wild Garden Hummus spread on tortillas, cut the chicken lengthwise into strips, put on the picked red onions, corn, garlic spread, basil. For the Persian taco, add cabbage salad, pomegranate, habanero, and garlic sauce to your tortillas.
